Previously, I talked about the power that words have to tear us down. But, as much as words can tear us down, they can also build us up. Uplifting words have the power to change lives for the better in unimaginable ways.
Words can build us up. They can also shake us to the core, tearing us to the ground. There are many times that we are hurt by the careless words of the people that we love.
One of the most basic and primal desires in our relationships is physical contact. Almost immediately, everyone thinks of sexual intimacy. But the physical intimacy that I am talking about is less than that, and yet much deeper than sex all at the same time.
Not all relationships are beneficial to us. At some point we all have to deal with toxic relationships in our lives. As beneficial as healthy relationships are in our lives, toxic relationships are that detrimental to us.
At some point in all of our lives, we all struggle with loneliness. I’ve had those times where I didn’t really feel that human connection to anyone. I’ve also had times in my life where I’ve had what I considered many close friends. We need to have that kind of connection to others to have balance in our lives.
